All About Naples Florida

Looking for a place in Naples?  You might want to consider Pelican Marsh.  If you are unfamiliar with this lovely gated community let me fill you in.   Pelican Marsh offers residents a variety of homes all set in a roughly 1000 acres of tropical and well manicured landscaping.  There are 133 acres of natural preserve and several lakes ensuring an active habitat of native birds and wildlife.  This is truly an outdoor lover's paradise with plenty of trails to walk or jog, an amazing fitness center, an active and staffed tennis program, and an 18 hole private equity membership, par 72 golf course designed by Robert von Hagge.

This gated community is convenienty located in North Naples off  Rt. 41.  It is close to Pelican Bay, The Philharmonic, the new Mercato Shops, Whole Foods, Naples Beaches, Waterside Shops, and more.

For this post I will be focusing on one community within Pelican Marsh, Osprey Pointe.  Presently listed properties within Pelican Marsh currently range from $7,595,000 to a low of $249,000.  In Osprey Pointe there are 5 active listings ranging from $689k to $519k and 1 pending . 

Osprey Pointe is a coach home community with 76 residences.  The homes offer sweeping views of the Pelican Marsh private golf course or lake.  There are two floor plans, offering 2060 or 2748 sq feet of living space.  Homes also have attached garages.  There is a community pool and mailing area as well. ( pictured below) Osprey Pointe is an attractive option for anyone considering Pelican Marsh.

Colony Gardens Bayside Pool & Docks

If you like the Park Shore area of Naples, you might consider Colony Gardens.  Colony Gardens is located on the corner of Crayton Rd. and Park Shore Drive.  It is a quick walk to The Village on Venetian Bay and the Park Shore beaches. Built in  1969 by Lugert Co. The main 5 story building is comprised of 21 residential units.  There are also 8 townhouses on site. Units average about 2100  with 2 and 3 bedrooms. Presently there are two active units both in the $800's.

Colony Gardens offer residents covered parking, a bay side pool, private dock leases, 90 day minimum 1x per year rental policy,  and 1 pet with no size limits.

Today I came across a photo I have had in my camera for a bit.  It is a picture of my assistant Mr. Mosby with his special Halloween Costume.  I thought you might enjoy seeing him hamming it up for the camera.  He loves the attention! Shhh don't tell everyone ....but my favorite place to get a yummy bagel is Ric's New York Style Bakery & Deli on 694 9th Street North in Naples Florida 34102 ( Corner of 7th Ave and Rt 41 aka 9th st N)

My personal favorite is a salt bagel with veggie cream cheese for $2.58.  They are very generous with the cream cheese and the bagels are water boiled.   I also have a soft spot for the Everything Bagel.  Now not only does Ric's have fantastic bagels but they have bagel egg sandwiches . The prices are great in these tough times!  This is a popular item with many patrons. If you're thirsty they have coffee, chillers, cappuccino, soda etc or pour yourself a cup of the ice water ever present on the counter (free) .  Sit inside or out...

Ric's offers Free Delivery Mon- Friday from 10 a.m - 2 p.m.   ( place your orders before 10 a.m)

Beachwalk Naples Florida (edit/delete)

Beachwalk, the name says it all ....  you can walk to the beach from here, Vanderbilt Beach that is!  This lovely community is located off Vanderbilt Beach Road in Naples Florida.  It is minutes from the Ritz Carlton, Whole Foods, Mercato, Waterside Shops, Pelican Bay, The Philharmonic, Capital Grille, Turtle Bay Club,  the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico, and several different shopping locations.  Once at Beachwalk you can leave your car and walk, bike, rollerblade or jog to just about every spot you need to!

Minutes from Beachwalk is the Pavillion Shopping Center which offers numerous dining options, a cinema, post office, urgent care, Publix grocery store, bank, bike shop, gift store and more. Across the street is a Collier County Public Library Branch and outpost for the local Sheriff's department.  There is also access to the Pelican Bay Community Park  almost directly across the street from Beachwalk. 

The Pelican Bay Community Park serves not only the residents of Pelican Bay but the local community as well.  This 15 acre park consists of  8 lighted Har-Tru tennis courts ( with Professionals available) volleyball, basketball, and racquetball courts, a soccer field, a playground for children, and a 1 mile paved jogging/walking path alongside a lake.  The perfect place for some fitness, a picnic or a stroll....

Another exciting place that is in progress is the new Mercato. Mercato not only offers Whole Foods, but a new theatre and a bevy of national and specialty retailers all in a very un-mall like setting that will give you more of a main street feel with residences and shops.   Mercato is located a short distance from Beachwalk at the corner of Tamiami Trail N and Vanderbilt Beach Rd.

So besides a fabulous location what else do you get at Beachwalk? I am so glad you asked...  it is a  24 hour guard gated community , with community pools, a hot tub, 6 Har-Tru tennis courts, an exercise room, an on site Manager and Secretary, Bocce court, and a Clubhouse with a full kitchen.  There are 3 lakes and each has a lovely water display.

So what is happening in  the Moorings?   This area popular for it's water access and proximity to all Naples has to offer continues to sell slowly.
